Shelter Director
About The Position
Maui Humane Society is Maui's open admission animal shelter and serves the whole community. Its work includes helping families keep their pets, reuniting lost pets with their people, and moving animals in its care to new homes and partner organizations. Services include shelter care and shelter medicine, low-cost spay/neuter and wellness services for community pets, pet resources, humane education, and humane law enforcement. The Shelter Director is a new position at the center of the leadership team. The role owns every animal's path through the shelter, from intake to outcome, and oversees daily care, capacity for care, animal care, pet resources, and Animal Care Pathways. The director sets standards, manages the shelter population to those standards, and leads the people responsible for delivering the work.
