About The Position

Work hands-on to fabricate, assemble, install, and repair vital structural components, ensuring top-quality aerospace standards. Requirements

  • 15 years of hands-on sheet metal mechanic experience
  • Strong background in aircraft structural assembly and maintenance
  • Proficient in blueprint reading and precision measurement
  • Skilled at drilling, reaming, riveting, and fastener installation
  • Experience in countersinking and part trimming
  • Ability to work both 1st and 2nd shifts as required

Nice To Haves

  • Previous F16 or military aircraft assembly experience
  • Advanced knowledge of production structures build-up
  • Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing standards

Responsibilities

  • Interpret blueprints and fastener layouts for F16 aircraft structures
  • Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal and structural assemblies/sub-assemblies
  • Utilize precision measuring equipment to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Perform precision drilling, reaming, riveting, countersinking, and part trimming
  • Build up fuselage components in a production setting
  • Repair and maintain structural components as needed
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met
  • Adapt to assigned shift schedules after initial training period
