About The Position
Currently hiring experienced Sheet Metal Mechanics for long-term projects in the Annapolis, Annapolis Junction and Columbia, MD areas. Pay is up to $35 an hour with potential for overtime. As a sheet metal mechanic you are responsible for fabricating, installing, and maintaining high-quality metal components and structures. Requirements
- 5+ years of commercial sheet metal experience
- Proficient in HVAC duct fabrication and installation
- Able to read blueprints and follow detailed plans
- Your own hand tools and PPE
- Valid Driver's License and your own reliable transportation
Responsibilities
- Lay out, fabricate, and install HVAC duct systems and sheet metal components
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and job specifications
- Cut, shape, join, and assemble sheet metal using hand and power tools, ensuring precise fabrication and alignment
- Install ductwork, diffusers, registers, dampers, and flexible components
- Seal and ensure systems are properly aligned, sealed, and meet quality standards
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
