About The Position

RLP Mechanical is seeking an experienced Lead HVAC Sheet Metal Installer / Foreman to oversee commercial ductwork and sheet metal installations across the Greater DFW area. The role involves leading installation crews, ensuring work is completed to project specifications and deadlines, and coordinating with project managers and general contractors. The foreman will also mentor apprentices and junior installers and maintain records of job progress, materials, and hours. Occasional travel within Texas for out-of-area projects is required.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of commercial HVAC sheet metal installation experience.
• At least 2 years in a lead installer, foreman, or supervisory role.
• Deep knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and sheet metal installation best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
• Strong communication, team leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

• VRF system experience.
• EPA certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a crew of HVAC installers on commercial sheet metal and ductwork projects.
• Ensure installations are high-quality, code-compliant, and meet or exceed project specifications and deadlines.
• Work directly with project managers and general contractors to keep projects running smoothly.
• Mentor and train apprentices and junior installers.
• Maintain detailed records of job progress, materials, and hours.
• Occasionally travel within Texas for out-of-area projects.
