About The Position

RQC is hiring experienced Sheet Metal Installers to support Mechanical Operations on active projects at NSB Kings Bay, Georgia, and surrounding areas. Work takes place on military installations, with wages paid according to Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements for each job site. The role involves fabricating, assembling, and installing duct systems, HVAC components, and air distribution equipment on commercial construction projects. Installers interpret project specifications, meet applicable codes and quality standards, and apply mechanical and trade knowledge in the field. They must safely use tools and equipment, follow company safety standards, and support RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.

RQ, LLC is a nationally recognized Design-Build contractor serving government and commercial markets, with projects across the United States. The company specializes in accelerated commercial construction, particularly Department of Defense facilities and infrastructure. Applicants must provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at hire and pass drug screening and criminal background checks, including a stricter Department of Defense background check when required for access to a military installation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Journeyman-level experience, with a minimum of four years in sheet metal work within commercial construction or facility operations.
• Provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.
• Successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check when required for military-base site access.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and install duct systems, HVAC components, and air distribution equipment on commercial construction projects.
• Read and interpret project specifications.
• Ensure installations meet applicable codes and quality standards.
• Apply mechanical and sheet metal trade knowledge in the field.
• Safely use hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment, and other specialized equipment.
• Comply with company safety standards and support RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.
