Sheet Metal Installer
About The Position
RQC is hiring experienced Sheet Metal Installers to support Mechanical Operations on active projects at NSB Kings Bay, Georgia, and surrounding areas. Work is performed on military installations, with wages paid according to the Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements for each job site. The role involves fabricating, assembling, and installing duct systems, HVAC components, and air distribution equipment on commercial construction projects. Installers read and interpret project specifications, ensure work meets applicable codes and quality standards, and apply mechanical and trade knowledge in the field. Employees must use tools and equipment safely, follow company safety standards, and support RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values. Hourly pay is $18.62–$44.00, depending on experience. Candidates must provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at hire and successfully pass drug screening and commercial criminal background checks. Access to a military base may require a stricter Department of Defense background check.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Journeyman-level sheet metal experience, with a minimum of four years in sheet metal work within commercial construction or facility operations.
- Evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.
- Successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check; a stricter Department of Defense background check may be required for access to a military base.
