About The Position

RQC is hiring experienced Sheet Metal Installers to support Mechanical Operations on active commercial construction projects at NSB Kings Bay, Georgia, and surrounding areas. Work is performed on military installations, and wages are paid in accordance with the Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements applicable to each job site. Installers fabricate, assemble, and install duct systems, HVAC components, and air distribution equipment. They read and interpret project specifications, apply mechanical and trade knowledge in the field, and ensure installations meet applicable codes and quality standards. Employees are expected to use tools and equipment safely, follow company safety standards, and support RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values. RQ, LLC is a nationally recognized Design-Build contractor serving government and commercial markets, with projects across the United States and a strong concentration in Department of Defense facilities and infrastructure.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Journeyman-level experience, with a minimum of four years in sheet metal work within commercial construction or facility operations.
Must provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.
Must successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check for access to the military base, if applicable.

Responsibilities

Apply mechanical and trade knowledge in the field.
Safely use hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment, and other specialized equipment.
