Shadow

La Clinica de La Raza•Pittsburg, CA

About The Position

La Clínica de La Raza offers a job-shadowing learning experience for people interested in healthcare who want to learn about the organization and the work of its healthcare professionals. Participants observe professionals using software and technology, attend team meetings, take a guided office tour, review relevant project materials, and speak with team members about their experience and career paths. The experience is intended to provide a broader understanding of La Clínica’s culture, processes, and values; it is distinct from clinical rotations and is not intended to provide clinical skills training. Shadows should not perform tasks normally handled by paid staff, except briefly for learning purposes. Participation is subject to semester-hour limits and eligibility, consent, emergency-card, confidentiality, health-clearance, and other requirements. Participants must arrange their own transportation to the observation worksite. They are expected to follow the organization’s dress, confidentiality, equipment-use, reporting, and safety policies.
