Shadow - North Vallejo

La Clinica de La Raza•Vallejo, CA

About The Position

La Clínica de La Raza offers a job-shadowing learning experience for people interested in healthcare who want to learn about the organization and its day-to-day operations. Participants observe healthcare professionals, learn about the organization’s culture, processes, and values, and gain insight into team collaboration and career paths. This experience is distinct from clinical rotations and is not intended to provide specific skills development or professional training. Shadows must not perform duties typically handled by paid staff, except briefly as a learning experience. Participants may observe professionals using software and technology, join team meetings, tour an office, review project materials and documentation, speak with team members, and record questions or ideas. Participation is subject to semester-hour limits and required consent, emergency, confidentiality, and health-clearance documentation. Additional requirements vary for high-school students, adults in programs, and minors. Participants must follow La Clínica’s professional dress, confidentiality, equipment-use, reporting, and safety policies. The worksite location is North Vallejo. Participants are responsible for their own transportation to the observation worksite.
