About The Position
The Department of Languages, Literatures, & Cultural Studies invites applications for Sessional Lecturers to teach various language courses during the 2026-2027 Regular Session. These positions involve teaching courses such as Beginning Arabic I, Introductory Chinese I, Beginning French I, Intermediate French I, Introduction to Chinese II, Beginning Arabic II, Elementary Spanish II, Advanced French I, and other French courses. The courses are scheduled for Term One (September to December 2026) and Term Two (January to April 2027), with specific class times and enrollment limits provided for each course. The role is based in Saskatoon and requires a minimum of a MA degree or equivalent in the relevant language and teaching experience. A valid driver's license is required for any off-campus courses. Appointment periods include additional days for preparation and marking. Courses may be cancelled due to low enrollment.
Requirements
- Minimum of a MA degree or equivalent in Arabic and teaching experience (for ARBC courses)
- Minimum of a MA degree or equivalent in Chinese and teaching experience (for CHIN courses)
- Minimum of a MA degree or equivalent in French and teaching experience (for FREN courses)
- Minimum of a MA degree or equivalent in Spanish and teaching experience (for SPAN courses)
- A valid driver’s license is required for any off-campus courses.
