About The Position

The Department of Anthropology, College of Arts and Science invites applications for Sessional Lecturers to teach specific courses during the 2026-2027 Regular Session. The courses include ANTH 111 (One World Many Peoples Introduction to Cultural Anthropology) and ANTH 112 (Introduction to Archaeology and Biological Anthropology The Human Journey), offered in both Term One (September to December) and Term Two (January to April). These courses will be delivered in person as lectures with an expected enrollment limit of 154 students each. The position is located in Saskatoon.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Master’s degree in Anthropology or a related discipline.
  • A successful teaching record with undergraduate students is mandatory.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for any off-campus courses.

Responsibilities

  • Teach ANTH 111 (03) One World Many Peoples Introduction to Cultural Anthropology during Term One (September to December).
  • Teach ANTH 112 (03) Introduction to Archaeology and Biological Anthropology The Human Journey during Term One (September to December).
  • Teach ANTH 111 (04) One World Many Peoples Introduction to Cultural Anthropology during Term Two (January to April).
  • Teach ANTH 112 (04) Introduction to Archaeology and Biological Anthropology The Human Journey during Term Two (January to April).
  • Prepare for and mark course materials.
