About The Position
PLIC24H3 - First Language Acquisition - Fall 2026. Descriptions of children's pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar at various stages of learning their first language. Theories of the linguistic knowledge and cognitive processes that underlie and develop along with language learning.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Linguistics or a closely related discipline.
- Strong academic record and professional promise.
- Previous experience teaching language acquisition, psycholinguistics or a comparable course required.
Nice To Haves
- Preference will be given to those with a background in First Language Acquisition.
Responsibilities
- All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration and marking of assignments; calculation and submission of grades; holding regular office hours.
