About The Position

The Department of Curriculum Studies, College of Education invites applications for a Sessional Lecturer to teach the course ECUR 815.3 (01) Decolonizing the Curriculum during the 2026-2027 Regular Session, Term One (September to December). This course will be taught in a blended format with a schedule of Thursdays, 5:00 PM - 7:20 PM, and an expected enrollment limit of 20 students. The position is located in Saskatoon, SK.

Requirements

  • M.Ed. degree (or equivalent graduate degree) and relevant teaching or professional experience, or significant progress on a M.Ed. degree or equivalent.
  • Knowledge and understanding of First Nations, Metis, and Inuit culture.
  • Understanding of the socio-economic and pedagogical factors associated with teaching this body of students.
  • A valid driver’s license is required for any off-campus courses.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience teaching in community SUNTEP courses.

Responsibilities

  • Teach the course ECUR 815.3 (01) Decolonizing the Curriculum.
  • Prepare course materials.
  • Mark student assignments and exams.
