About The Position

This position is for a Sessional Lecturer for the course LAN3052HS: Professional Practice. The course examines the modes of practice and potentials, and the licensure and responsibilities of a landscape architect. The appointment is for the Winter 2027 session, from January 1, 2027, to April 30, 2027. The estimated course enrollment is 29 students, with no TA support. The class schedule is Wednesdays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Requirements

• Professional degree in Landscape Architecture
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience

Nice To Haves

• Experience mentoring landscape architects toward licensure is preferred.
• Some experience teaching landscape architecture courses at the graduate level is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and delivery of course material
• Managing digital teaching materials
• Supervision of teaching assistants
• Preparation and delivery of assignments, tests, final examinations and deferred final examinations
• Marking of student work
• Submission of grades
• Dealing with student enquiries, appeals and petitions
• Student contact hours
