This course, URB337H1F: Housing and Homelessness, examines the paradox of urban development alongside increasing homelessness in cities like Toronto. It will trace the links between housing, homelessness, and urban politics, review policies and trends at various government levels, and connect with urban movements to contest displacement, aiming to achieve the federal government's goal of ensuring affordable and adequate housing for all Canadians by 2030. The course will be delivered online synchronously on Wednesdays from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and is estimated to have an enrollment of 60 students. There is no TA support for this course.
