Sessional Lecturer - GGR381H5F: Spatial Database (Sci)
About The Position
This posting is for a Sessional Lecturer position for the course GGR381H5F: Spatial Database (Sci). The course aims to provide students with basic knowledge of spatial database design, implementation, query, and sharing. Students will work with real-world datasets to create, edit, and manage geospatial databases using software such as ArcGIS and PostgreSQL. The course includes 24 lecture hours and 12 practical hours. The class schedule is LEC0101 on Thursdays from 15:00 to 17:00, and PRA0101/PRA0102 on Tuesdays from 13:00 to 15:00. Estimated enrollment is 60 students, with TA support subject to final enrollment figures. The sessional dates of appointment are from September 1 to December 31, 2026.
Requirements
- PhD or PhD candidate in Geomatics or a related field
- Proficiency with cartography
- Proficiency with ArcGIS Pro
- Proficiency with ArcGIS StoryMaps

Responsibilities
