About The Position

An introduction to the problems, theories and research strategies central to the interdisciplinary field focusing on the nature and organization of the human mind and other cognitive systems. Interrelations among the philosophical, psychological, linguistic and computer science aspects of the field are emphasized. The delivery method for this course is currently in-person. Please note that, in keeping with public health advisories, the course delivery method may change as determined by the Faculty or the College.

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree in Cognitive Science or a cognate field is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Ph.D. in progress or completed in Cognitive Science or cognate field preferred.
  • Demonstrated teaching and research expertise on topics relating to Cognitive Science as listed in the course description (e.g. nature and organization of the human mind and other cognitive systems) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated evidence of excellence in undergraduate teaching is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration and marking of assignments, tests and exams; calculation and submission of grades; holding regular office hours.
  • Supervising the TAs, preparing and supervising tests and exams.
