About The Position

The University of British Columbia (UBC) is seeking a part-time Sessional Lecturer for the Department of Forest and Conservation Sciences within the Faculty of Forestry and Environmental Stewardship. This position will be responsible for delivering lectures and labs for the FRST307 (Biotic Disturbances) course during the Fall 2026 term, from September 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026. The course is worth 3 credits and involves 3 lectures and 3 laboratory sections per week. This role is equivalent to 12.5% of a full-time teaching load.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree in Forest Sciences.
  • Research experience in Forest Pathology, focusing on pathogen biology, epidemiology, and management.
  • Proven track record of teaching upper-level courses.
