About The Position
This position is for a Sessional Lecturer to teach BIO333H5F Freshwater Ecology at the University of Toronto Mississauga. The role involves preparing and delivering course content, developing and administering assignments, tests, and exams, calculating and submitting grades, and holding office hours. The course will include in-person lectures and practical sessions. The lecturer will also supervise the day-to-day work of any Sessional Instructional Assistants or Teaching Assistants assigned to the course.
Requirements
- Ph.D. degree in Biology or related field
- Previous teaching experience in this course or similar courses
- Academic qualifications
- Ability and suitability for the position
Nice To Haves
- Qualified individuals advanced to the rank of Sessional Lecturer II or Sessional Lecturer III
Responsibilities
- Preparation and delivery of course content
- Development, administration, and marking of assignments, tests, and exams
- Calculation and submission of grades
- Contact with students by regular office hours
- Completion of all grades, including potential make-up exams
- Supervision of the day-to-day work of any Sessional Instructional Assistants or Teaching Assistants assigned to the course
