About The Position

In this continuous course, students are guided to cultivate a professional identity, collate their design works into a unified portfolio that supports their narrative, and deepen their relationship to the broader design community. To obtain credit for this course, students are required to submit snapshots of their portfolios containing UXD projects at key milestones throughout their tenure in the UXD concentration. Completing milestones may involve engaging with peers, instructors, and industry professionals through self-learning, playbacks, design critique, events, or portfolio reviews. This is a co-teaching position with a full-time faculty member and is an asynchronous course.

Requirements

  • Completed, or nearly completed, PhD degree in an area related to the course or a Master’s degree plus extensive professional experience in an area related to the course.
  • Teaching experience is preferred.
  • Must be located in geographical proximity to the applicable University premises in order to attend and perform duties on University premises as of the Starting Date.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing course materials
  • Delivering course content (e.g., seminars, lectures, and labs)
  • Developing and administering course assignments, tests & exams
  • Grading
  • Holding regular office hours
