About The Position

This is a sessional instructional assistant position for the RSM2523 course, Business Design Fundamentals, for the Fall 2026 term. The appointment is from September 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026. The role involves assisting with grading, proctoring and invigilating exams and tests, holding tutorials and office hours, and other assigned duties. The position requires the candidate to be in person. Requirements

  • Graduate degree with experience and familiarity with a human-centered design innovation process (e.g. Business Design, Integrative Thinking, Design Thinking)
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptive to live business challenges
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Interested in learning how to facilitate studio-based class format
  • Must be available and comfortable with both online and in-person course delivery
  • Must be in person

Nice To Haves

  • Ideally, having participated in Rotman Business Design courses or activities (e.g. Business Design Practicum, Design Study Tour, Business Design Boot Camp, Business Design Challenge)
  • Prior zSIA experience an asset
  • Graduate Students enrolled in the School of Graduate Studies of the University of Toronto or those who have made application to be enrolled in the School of Graduate Studies of the University of Toronto

  • Previous satisfactory employment under the provisions of this collective agreement

Responsibilities

  • Assist in grading assignments
  • Proctoring final exam
  • Invigilate tests and exams as required
  • Holds tutorials and office hours
  • Other duties as assigned
