About The Position
This is a sessional instructional assistant position for RSM5201 - Accounting I, for the Fall 2026 term. The role involves assisting with grading, proctoring exams, holding tutorials and office hours, and other assigned duties. The position requires the candidate to be in person and comfortable with both online and in-person course delivery depending on circumstances. The sessional appointment dates are from September 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026.
Requirements
- Graduate degree with a strong academic background in Accounting
- Familiarity with the course materials and supporting educational concepts is required
- Must be in person
- Must be available and comfortable with both online and in-person course delivery
Nice To Haves
- Previous SIA experience
- Applicable applied industry experience
- Completion of or in progress of completing a CPA designation
Responsibilities
- Assist in grading assignments
- Proctoring final exam
- Invigilate tests and exams as required
- Holds tutorials and office hours
- Other duties as assigned
