About The Position

Credence has an immediate need for a ServiceNow Software Delivery Manager (SDM). The ServiceNow Software Delivery Manager is key in overseeing all ServiceNow software enhancement and maintenance activities in support of the Department of State. The SDM plays a pivotal role in managing and supervising development, testing, and release management teams. This position requires a deep understanding of Agile procedures and ceremonies as well as strong leadership and communication skills to effectively coordinate with internal and external teams and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret level security clearance.
  • Master's degree from an accredited university or college in a technical field such as Information Systems, Information Sciences and Technology, Engineering, or Computer Science, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.
  • Experience with ServiceNow as a developer and/or administrator.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive management experience.
  • At least ten (10) years of hands-on experience in similar work.
  • Ability to prepare management, business, technical, and personnel reports, reviews, and documents for internal and external use.
  • Experience in Java EE, web applications, web services, and SQL.
  • Experience in SDLC core principles including Agile, continuous integration, and test-driven and automated regression.
  • Experience with source code control and change management processes.
  • Understanding of cyber and application security principles and best practices.
  • Understanding of object-oriented concepts & design patterns, HTTP state management techniques and challenges, relational database models, transactions, unit testing, continuous integration, and single-page architectures.
  • Knowledgeable in SDLC Experience building case management systems.
  • Understanding of test-driven development methodology.
  • Experience standing up continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct proofs of concept to evaluate the technical feasibility of new application capabilities.
  • Develop estimates and manage schedules for new ServiceNow features and releases.
  • Develop training plans and approaches to increase the capabilities of Scrum Masters, software developers, and business analysts.
  • Develop coding approaches as part of an integrated agile team to build features and functionality that meet the needs and priorities of the customer in a rapid and evolving environment.
  • Perform code reviews to identify functional, performance, and security defects and suggest solutions and improvements.
  • Direct team in the development of unit tests for regression and refactoring.
  • Periodically diagnose and resolve application issues reported from production, especially code newly released into production.
  • Serve as the development lead for Agile sprint efforts managing applicability and functionality of requirements identified for implementation.
  • Contribute to and validate source and check code into control frequently, ensuring that developers are performing at a high level.
  • Work closely with business and IT teams to gather input to support ongoing business needs for ServiceNow configuration, implementation, and support.
  • Collaborate with ServiceNow System Administration and key stakeholder teams to analyze and understand requirements and transform them into a valid solution.
