Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of ITSM, CMDB, HRSD and ITAM Modules.
  • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform capabilities, architecture, and best practices.
  • Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, JSON, REST/SOAP Web Services, Integration Hub, and MID Servers, specific knowledge of LDAP\Active Directory integration.
  • Experience in integrating ServiceNow with various IT systems and tools using MID Server, web services, APIs, etc.
  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise identity systems (LDAP, AD, SSO, SAML, OAuth).
  • Experience in core platform mechanics including Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Actions, Flow Designer, UI builder (Configurable workspace), Playbook and Advanced Workflows.
  • Experience with Source Control (e.g., Git) for collaborative development and using Studio.CI/DC processes
  • Experience with Mobile App Builder (MAB), Mobile Studio, Applets, and setting up Offline Mode functionality
  • The employee is regularly required to operate a computer, keyboard, telephone/headset, and/or other office equipment as essential functions of this position.
  • Work is generally sedentary in nature.

  • Must reside in the United States or have a valid U.S. address for residence.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous professional experience working as a developer or consultant in a railroad, heavy industry, transportation, or logistics environment is a significant plus.
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
  • ServiceNow Certified Systems Administration (CSA)
  • Experience in Customer Service Management and/or Field service management and/or ServiceNow Health and/or Safety or workplace safety Module
  • Data Analytics (Tableau, Snowflake), ITOM Modules

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain custom applications and reusable components on the ServiceNow platform using JavaScript (client/server-side), Glide Script, HTML, CSS for Service Portal development.
  • Proactively monitor and tune system performance, optimizing complex queries, reports, and background scripts.
  • Script execution efficiency, query performance tuning, background script optimization, report/dashboard performance.
