About The Position

Mark-Taylor is hiring a Service Technician for Park Place at Fountain Hills in Fountain Hills, Arizona. The role helps maintain the apartment community by completing repairs, preventive maintenance, unit make-readies, pool care, and property safety inspections while delivering service to residents. The position shares on-call duties with the Manager of Facilities and Service and other service team members. The anticipated base pay is $22.00 per hour; participating in the on-call rotation adds $3.00 per hour for all hours worked while on-call. Additional hourly pay is available for EPA, CPO, and OSHA certifications, subject to eligibility requirements.

Requirements

• General knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, pool maintenance, HVAC, carpentry, landscape maintenance, appliances, and OSHA-related standards.
• Knowledge of building systems.
• Service orientation.
• Basic computer skills.
• A basic understanding of written and verbal English.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as an apartment turn technician, make-ready technician, or work order technician is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with completing make-ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintaining an adequate supply of make-ready units for the community.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct minor air conditioning or heating failures, appliance repairs, electrical problems, plumbing problems, minor carpentry, and drywall repairs.
• Perform necessary repairs and preventive maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
• Perform daily pool care, ensure the pool is in proper chemical balance, and keep the area free of safety concerns.
• Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys.
• Inspect the property for safety hazards that may pose liability, correct hazards, and inform the Manager of Facilities and Service.
• Share on-call duty with the Manager of Facilities and Service and service team members, and be available to go to the property if needed while in uniform and wearing a badge.
• Assist in monitoring inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.
