Service Technician - Apartments at River View
About The Position
Berger Communities is hiring a Service Technician for Apartments at River View in Downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The role is responsible for keeping the apartment community running smoothly through repairs, apartment turnover preparation, preventive maintenance, inspections, and upkeep of grounds, amenities, and common areas. The technician also helps create a positive resident experience by providing friendly, professional service. This is a full-time, Monday-through-Friday position with a rotating on-call schedule: one week every other week. The position is based in Downtown Pittsburgh, and company-paid parking is provided. Pay is $22–$24 per hour, paid biweekly, with additional bonuses described below.
Responsibilities
- Handle service requests and repairs in apartments and buildings.
- Prepare vacant apartments for move-in.
- Maintain the grounds, amenities, and common areas.
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
- Assist with snow removal.
- Share rotating on-call responsibilities, one week every other week.
- Provide friendly, professional service to residents.
