About The Position

Bish’s RV is seeking a motivated, hands-on entry-level Service Technician to join its service team. The technician assists with diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing recreational vehicles, including their plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems. Working under the guidance of experienced technicians and service managers, the technician develops skills through on-the-job training in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The position supports a high-performing service team by meeting service timelines, building knowledge of RV systems and repair practices, and contributing to quality work and customer satisfaction. Expected results include improving repair speed and accuracy with less supervision over time, growing technical and customer service skills, contributing to service department efficiency, and progressing through the Bish’s RV TEC program to obtain certifications and skills. Requirements

Strong mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn.
Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team.
Positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to quality work.
Must have a set of personal tools.
Ability to stand, stoop, crawl, and bend for extended periods.
Ability to lift 25 to 50 pounds with an assistive device.
Ability to work in environments with heat, cold, dust, and loud noises.
Flexibility with work schedules, including Saturdays; the company is closed on Sundays.
Neat, clean, and professional appearance.
Ability to pass a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

Inspect units for customer sales.
Learn and perform Get Ready work and customer orientations.
Assist with inspections, diagnostics, and repairs of RV electrical, plumbing, propane, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Help install accessories and aftermarket parts.
Accurately document completed work and assist with service records.
Follow safety standards and company procedures when using power tools and handling hazardous materials.
Communicate repair progress and issues clearly to team members and supervisors.
Attend training sessions and stay updated on RV systems and service practices.
Work toward improved repair speed and accuracy, growing technical and customer service skills, and progression through the Bish’s RV TEC program.
