About The Position

Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer is hiring a full-time Service Technician at Fox Rest Apartments in Richmond, Virginia. The role involves maintaining apartment homes and the property so residents can enjoy a well-maintained living environment. The Service Technician completes work orders and apartment turnovers; performs repairs and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and appliances; and helps maintain common areas, buildings, and the pool. The position includes a regular work week with on-call hours as needed, including responding to emergency maintenance requests. The role offers competitive pay, benefits, and a $1,000 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

At least 2 years of maintenance experience in a residential community or similar field.
CFC and HVAC certifications are required.
Strong background in plumbing, electrical systems, and general apartment maintenance.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel between properties if needed.
Exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and passion for hands-on work.
Reliability, resourcefulness, organization, professionalism, and a resident-focused approach.

Responsibilities

Complete apartment work orders and turnovers promptly.
Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and appliances.
Assist with upkeep of common areas, property buildings, and pool maintenance.
Provide exceptional customer service in interactions with residents and staff.
Work with the team to ensure maintenance tasks are handled efficiently and professionally.
Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
Manage daily checklists and occasional tasks, and troubleshoot unexpected issues.
