About The Position

Gary Yeomans Honda is hiring an experienced Service Technician to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair customer vehicles. The role covers automotive systems including engines, transmissions, drivability, cooling, brakes, electronics, steering and suspension, and HVAC. The technician performs work according to repair orders and dealership standards, uses diagnostic tools and service equipment, and communicates with Service Advisors about additional work and estimated repair times. Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least 2 years of experience as an auto Service Technician.
• ASE certification.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
• Knowledge of all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
• Ability to identify problems quickly.
• Knowledge of automobiles.
• Math, reading, and computer skills.
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures, and specifications.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Positive attitude.
• Quick learner.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning systems.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so customers can be informed when additional service is needed.
• Estimate the time needed for additional repairs.
• Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
• Keep customers’ cars clean.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work stall.
