About The Position
General Parts Group is hiring a Field Service Technician to repair and maintain commercial kitchen equipment at schools, healthcare facilities, and restaurants throughout the technician’s service area. The role covers commercial cooking, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment, including gas, electric, and steam systems. The technician orders and installs replacement parts and participates in after-hours and weekend on-call rotations. The position offers $20–$45 per hour based on experience and a sign-on bonus of up to $6,000 for experienced candidates. A company vehicle is provided and dispatched from home, along with service tools and equipment. Ongoing training, career advancement, and CFESA certification are available. Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets the company’s safety standards.
- Completion of a criminal background check and drug screen.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of related experience, education, or military training is preferred.
- EPA certification for refrigeration technicians.
Responsibilities
