About The Position
General Parts Group is hiring experienced commercial kitchen equipment technicians in the Fort Wayne, Indiana area. Service Technicians service, repair, and maintain restaurant equipment at customer locations such as restaurants, hospitals, schools, and commercial kitchens. The work may focus on commercial cooking equipment, commercial refrigeration, or both. The role offers hourly pay starting at $25.00 and up to $40.00 based on experience, and experienced candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $3,000. A company vehicle and steady commercial service work are offered. General Parts supports technician training, including opportunities to pursue CFESA certifications.
Requirements
- Experience working on commercial kitchen equipment.
- Valid driver’s license.
- EPA certification is required for refrigeration technicians.
- Ability to work independently in the field.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with commercial cooking equipment, commercial refrigeration, or both.
- CFESA training certifications; technicians are encouraged to pursue them.
Responsibilities
- Service and repair commercial restaurant equipment at customer locations.
- Work on commercial cooking equipment such as fryers, ovens, and grills, commercial refrigeration such as walk-ins, ice machines, and reach-ins, or both.
- Provide service, repair, and maintenance for foodservice equipment.
