Service Technician - Vairo Village Apartments
About The Position
Berger Communities is hiring a Service Technician for Vairo Village and Pennwood Apartments in State College, Pennsylvania. The technician helps keep the apartment community operating smoothly, supports residents through friendly and professional service, and helps make the communities feel like home. The role includes repairing apartments and buildings, preparing vacant homes for move-in, maintaining grounds and common areas, performing preventive maintenance and inspections, and assisting with snow removal. The position is full-time, with hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, plus participation in an on-call rotation one day per week and every fifth weekend. Pay is $20–$23 per hour, paid biweekly, with additional bonuses described below.
Responsibilities
- Handle service requests and perform repairs in apartments and buildings.
- Prepare vacant homes for move-in.
- Maintain grounds, amenities, and common areas.
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
- Assist with snow removal.
- Participate in the on-call rotation one day per week and every fifth weekend.
- Provide residents with friendly, professional service.
