About The Position

The Service Technician operates a company service truck and travels to various locations to service, pump, and clean portable restrooms and/or holding tanks. The role is described as the heart of the business. The technician follows USS and DOT driving and safety requirements, completes portable toilet servicing to the USS 8 point service standard, and interacts with customers at work sites to ensure services meet their standards. The role also requires adapting routes to customer needs, sharing routing feedback with operations staff, and discussing customers’ portable toilet needs to support current and future service requirements.

Requirements

• At least two years of commercial driving experience.
• Valid driver license, CDL or non-commercial.
• Valid TWIC.
• Excellent time management, customer service, and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to frequently lift or push between 50 and 150 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate a company service truck and drive to locations to service, pump, and clean portable restrooms and/or holding tanks.
• Perform basic service truck driving functions in accordance with USS and DOT requirements.
• Perform work safely in accordance with USS and DOT safety standards to help prevent accidents and injuries.
• Perform duties involving sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and frequently lift or push between 50 and 150 lbs. during the work shift.
• Service portable toilets according to the USS 8 point service standard.
• Interact with customers at work sites to ensure services are completed to their standards.
• Adjust or change routes as needed to meet customer needs.
• Provide routing feedback to the Operations Manager, Supervisor, or Coordinator to improve efficiency and customer service.
• Discuss customers’ portable toilet needs and plan strategically to satisfy current and future requirements.
