About The Position

DSI Security Services is hiring a Security Officer in Eddystone for PSA Penn Terminals. This is a full-time temporary/seasonal position for the upcoming season, which typically runs from the end of November through mid-May, approximately six months. The role provides general security services to maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees. A valid TWIC card is required. Schedules listed include Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM; Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM–8:00 PM; and Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:00 PM / Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM. Weekends and overtime may be needed. Pay is $19.10 per hour.

Requirements

Customer-service orientation and effective written and oral communication skills.
Basic to intermediate computer skills.
Ability to perform routine foot patrols and moderate lifting.
Ability to work in all weather conditions.
Reliable means of transportation and communication.
Must pass all required background and drug screenings.
Valid driver’s license.
Valid TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).

Responsibilities

Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing general security duties to clients.
Observe, correct, and report hazards to promote safety.
Understand and comply with DSI and client requirements, including specific post instructions.
Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures and DSI’s safety manual.
Interact professionally with clients, visitors, employees, and the public.
Work weekend shifts, nights, and additional days or shifts as needed.
