About The Position

DSI Security Services is hiring Rover Security Officers for port locations in the Curtis Bay, Maryland area. The role helps maintain a safe and secure environment for clients, their employees, and the public, requiring professionalism, attentiveness, and a commitment to safety and customer service. Officers must be able to work as a rover between port locations. Available shifts include day, night, third, and weekend shifts. The listed pay is $18.50 per hour.

Requirements

Minimum age of 21.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Maryland Security Guard License.
Valid TWIC Card.
Valid driver's license.
Reliable transportation and means of communication.
Basic to intermediate computer skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work as a Rover Officer between port locations.
Ability to conduct routine foot patrols, perform moderate lifting, and work in all weather conditions.
Must pass all required pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

Maintain a safe and secure environment through visible presence and routine patrols.
Observe, report, and respond to hazards, incidents, and suspicious activity.
Follow DSI policies, client requirements, and post-specific instructions.
Interact professionally with clients, visitors, employees, and the public.
Complete required reports and documentation accurately and on time.
Participate in training and comply with DSI safety procedures and manuals.
