Service Technician (Carpenter)
About The Position
The Service Technician performs service and warranty work on Stanek Windows and Patio Enclosures products. A typical day includes completing 4–8 service calls. The role includes preparing materials and loading jobs, maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the company vehicle, job site, and shop area, and driving a company vehicle. Technicians are expected to develop and improve skills in customer contact, job criteria, layout, cutting and improvising, and measuring. Other duties may be assigned. Performance expectations include achieving a top score of 90% or better on post-installation customer service surveys, obtaining online reviews for 30% of jobs serviced, offering product add-ons during service visits, and keeping labor budgets within company guidelines.
Requirements
- At least five years of related and transferable experience in carpentry, roofing, siding, gutters, windows, doors, and/or sunrooms.
- Ability to use various hand and power tools.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Ability to perform simple mathematics.
Responsibilities
- Locate and load all materials onto the truck.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the truck, truck bed, truck boxes, job site, and shop area.
- Load and unload jobs each day.
- Acquire and improve skills in customer contact, job criteria, layout, cutting and improvising, and measuring.
- Drive a company vehicle.
- Meet performance expectations for customer service survey scores, online reviews, product offerings, and labor budgets.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
