About The Position

NuFace Home Improvements is seeking a skilled and dependable Carpenter / Service Technician to join its team in Berlin, CT. The role performs carpentry, remodeling, and service and repair work while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and experienced in general construction and home improvement services. The position involves work on job sites, including carpentry and repairs, maintaining quality and safety standards, communicating with homeowners and coworkers, and handling tools, materials, and company equipment.

Requirements

At least 3 years of carpentry or general construction experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of construction practices and materials.
Ability to perform service and repair work independently.
Skill in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent work ethic and time management.

Nice To Haves

Experience in home improvement or remodeling companies.
OSHA certification.
Basic electrical or plumbing knowledge.

Responsibilities

Perform carpentry work, including framing, trim, cabinetry, drywall, and finish work.
Respond to service calls to diagnose and repair issues.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job specifications.
Measure, cut, and install building materials with precision.
Ensure work meets quality standards and building codes.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment on job sites.
Communicate professionally with homeowners, team members, and management.
Load and unload tools and materials, and maintain company equipment.
