About The Position
NuFace Home Improvements is seeking a skilled and dependable Carpenter / Service Technician to join its team in Berlin, CT. The role involves performing carpentry, remodeling, and service and repair work while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and experienced in general construction and home improvement services.
Requirements
- Three or more years of carpentry or general construction experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction practices and materials.
- Ability to perform service and repair work independently.
- Skill using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift more than 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent work ethic and time management.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in home improvement or remodeling companies.
- OSHA certification.
- Basic electrical or plumbing knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Perform carpentry work, including framing, trim, cabinetry, drywall, and finish work.
- Respond to service calls to diagnose and repair issues.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job specifications.
- Measure, cut, and install building materials with precision.
- Ensure work meets quality standards and building codes.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment on job sites.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, team members, and management.
- Load and unload tools and materials, and maintain company equipment.
