About The Position

Michelin North America, Inc. is hiring a Forklift Tire Technician for Solideal Onsite Service. The role supports maintenance of forklift fleets through customized tire services that help ensure safe operations and maximize uptime. Mechanical experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for required skills. Applicants must be at least 21 years old. The technician installs and services forklift and other material-handling tires in-house and at customer sites, using a hydraulic tire press. The role includes customer interaction, equipment maintenance, safety and quality reporting, and contributing input to customer service and operational improvement. The position is on day shift, with start times that may vary, and consists of 8-hour shifts. Overtime is available after 40 hours. Work takes place in a tobacco-free environment, in a service vehicle, and in industrial settings. Customer locations may be indoors or outdoors and may involve varying noise levels and hot or cold conditions. Applicants must pass a urine drug screen, DOT physical, and background check as conditions of employment, subject to applicable accommodation and state-law processes. Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Valid driver's license.

Ability to work independently.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds; lift-assist equipment is available.

Ability to pass a background check at the appropriate stage, consistent with state law, as a condition of an employment offer.

Nice To Haves

Mechanical experience.
Knowledge of MS Office Suite applications, including Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

Install forklift and other material-handling tires in-house and at customer sites using a hydraulic tire press.
Dismount and mount tires and service customer products according to customer orders.
Perform preventive maintenance and keep all equipment, including service vehicles, clean.
Immediately report to the Service Manager materials that do not meet quality standards, equipment requiring maintenance, customer-site delays, potential issues with customer equipment before servicing, accidents, safety concerns, and other potential hazards.
Provide input for customer service and operational improvement.
Continuously improve knowledge of company products and services and take ownership of the position’s function.
