About The Position
Nations Roof is seeking a dedicated, customer-focused Commercial Roofing Service Technician / Foreman for its Service Department. The role involves surveying existing roof conditions, investigating and diagnosing leaks, providing accurate cost estimates for small-scope repair work, and performing warranted repairs on a variety of commercial roofing systems. The position serves existing buildings throughout the region and requires current residency in the greater Columbus, Ohio area. The technician will conduct inspections, diagnose and repair commercial and industrial roofs, and lead and train assigned helpers. The role also includes documenting labor, materials, and completed work; communicating professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers; and following company safety policies and OSHA requirements. Requirements
- Commercial roofing experience with BUR, EPDM, TPO, PVC, coatings, and other low-slope roofing systems.
- Experience leading and training helpers in a small-team environment.
- Ability to identify and solve technical roofing application and repair issues.
- Strong attention to detail with daily reporting and documentation.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.
- Willingness to learn and use company software and technology.
- Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
- Basic computer and smartphone proficiency.
- Current residency in the greater Columbus, Ohio area for project work on existing buildings throughout the region.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- Five or more years of commercial roofing production, service, or supervision experience.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
- Experience estimating and quoting roofing repairs.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine roof inspections and maintain manufacturer warranties.
- Diagnose and perform leak repairs on commercial and industrial roofing systems.
- Lead and train assigned helpers in proper repair techniques and small-scope construction activities.
- Work on EPDM, TPO, PVC, Built-Up Roofing (BUR), Modified Bitumen, coatings, and other low-slope roofing systems.
- Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and completed work.
- Represent Nations Roof professionally and interact honestly, ethically, and respectfully with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
- Follow company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
- Travel locally throughout the service area and surrounding communities as required.
