About The Position

Big O Tires is seeking experienced Automotive Service Technicians / Mechanics to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. The role involves identifying mechanical and electrical issues, recommending repairs, completing maintenance and repairs efficiently and accurately, and communicating with customers and colleagues. Technicians use specialized tools and computer systems and document their work in a fast-paced service environment. Requirements

• At least 2–4 years of industry experience as a full-service Service Technician or Mechanic.
• Possess the tools and equipment necessary for the position.
• Availability to work holidays, weekends, and after regular business hours as needed.
• Ability to move and lift up to 60 pounds.
• Must meet company requirements, including successful pre-employment drug screening, Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

• ASE Certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles and perform diagnostic tests on systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components.
• Identify mechanical and electrical issues and determine necessary repairs or replacements.
• Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
• Use specialized tools and computer systems to complete repairs and updates in accordance with manufacturer standards.
• Maintain service records and clearly document work performed.
• Explain vehicle issues to customers, recommend repairs, and outline service timelines.
• Follow safety guidelines and protocols.
• Perform automotive services that may include troubleshooting mechanical issues, timing belt services, clutch and transmission replacements, brake services, suspension and CV joint work, drivetrain services, power steering service, and oil and filter service.
