Big O Tires is seeking experienced automotive Service Technicians or Mechanics to diagnose, repair, and maintain various vehicles to ensure their performance and safety. This fast-paced role involves working with customers and colleagues to identify vehicle issues, recommend solutions, and complete repairs efficiently and accurately. Requirements

At least 2–4 years of industry experience as a full-service Service Technician or Mechanic.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Commitment to high-quality automotive service, attention to detail, and continuous professional growth.
Must possess the tools and equipment required for an automotive Service Technician.
Available to work holidays, weekends, and after regular business hours as needed.
Able to move and lift up to 60 pounds.
Must meet company requirements, including passing a pre-employment drug screening, Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

ASE Certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

Inspect and perform diagnostic tests on vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components.
Identify mechanical and electrical issues and determine the necessary repairs or replacements.
Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
Use specialized tools and computer systems to perform repairs and updates according to manufacturer standards.
Maintain service records and document completed work clearly and accurately.
Explain vehicle issues to customers, recommend repairs, and outline service timelines.
Follow safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Perform services including timing belt work, clutch and transmission replacements, brake services, suspension and CV joint work, drivetrain services, power steering service, and oil and filter service.
