About The Position
General Parts Group is hiring experienced commercial kitchen equipment technicians in the Fort Wayne, Indiana area. Technicians service and repair restaurant equipment at customer locations, including restaurants, hospitals, schools, and commercial kitchens. The work may focus on commercial cooking equipment, commercial refrigeration, or both. General Parts Group supports a field service force of more than 200 technicians across 26 states and provides service, repair, and maintenance for cooking, refrigeration, beverage, HVAC, and warewashing equipment. Technicians are encouraged to pursue CFESA training certifications.
Requirements
- Experience working on commercial kitchen equipment.
- Valid driver's license.
- EPA certification is required for refrigeration technicians.
- Ability to work independently in the field.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with commercial cooking equipment, commercial refrigeration, or both.
- CFESA training certifications; technicians are encouraged to pursue them.
Responsibilities
- Service and repair commercial restaurant equipment at customer locations.
- Work on commercial cooking equipment such as fryers, ovens, and grills, commercial refrigeration such as walk-ins, ice machines, and reach-ins, or both.
- Work independently in the field.
Benefits
- Hourly pay starts at $25.00 and may reach $40.00 based on experience.
