About The Position

General Parts Group is hiring experienced commercial kitchen equipment technicians in the Madison, Wisconsin area. Technicians service and repair restaurant equipment at customer locations, including restaurants, hospitals, schools, and commercial kitchens. The role focuses on commercial cooking equipment, commercial refrigeration, or both. Service work may include cooking, refrigeration, beverage, HVAC, and ware-washing equipment. Technicians work independently in the field and are encouraged to pursue CFESA training certifications. The company supports a field service force of more than 200 technicians across 26 states and has operated for over 80 years. The posting offers hourly pay starting at $25 and up to $45 based on experience, plus a sign-on bonus of up to $3,000 for experienced candidates.

Requirements

Experience working on commercial kitchen equipment.
Valid driver's license.
EPA certification required for refrigeration technicians.
Ability to work independently in the field.

Nice To Haves

CFESA training certifications are encouraged.
CFESA Master Certification is held by many technicians at the company.

Responsibilities

Service and repair commercial restaurant equipment at customer locations.
Work on commercial cooking equipment such as fryers, ovens, and grills; commercial refrigeration such as walk-ins, ice machines, and reach-ins; or both.
Work independently in the field.
Provide service, repair, and maintenance for equipment including cooking, refrigeration, beverage, HVAC, and ware-washing equipment.
