About The Position

Allstate Peterbilt is hiring service technicians to diagnose and repair diesel trucks. Technicians use industry-leading diagnostic equipment to identify the root cause of system failures, determine required services, and conduct failure analysis. The role includes repairing and overhauling diesel engines, diagnosing and repairing driveline and chassis components, and following OEM procedures and policies for complex repairs, including identifying necessary parts and tools.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Dependable and reliable attendance.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge.
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to bend and twist frequently.
• Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner.
• Pass a drug test before beginning employment.

Responsibilities

• Use diagnostic equipment to determine the root cause of system failures.
• Determine services required to complete repairs and perform failure analysis.
• Repair and rebuild or overhaul a variety of diesel engines.
• Diagnose and repair driveline and chassis components, including clutches, fan hubs, differentials, fifth wheels, suspension, brakes, and transmissions.
• Follow OEM-documented procedures and policies when completing complex repairs.
• Identify the parts and tools required for repairs.
