About The Position

SPATCO Energy Solutions is seeking an experienced service technician to troubleshoot, repair, install, program, and test petroleum fueling equipment and electronic point-of-sale systems. The technician performs scheduled repairs and preventative maintenance, diagnoses electrical and mechanical problems, and communicates technical issues clearly to customers.

Technicians work alongside branch managers, dispatchers, other experienced technicians, and trainees; from time to time, they may assist trainees with their training and certifications. The role does not follow a typical 8 a.m.–5 p.m. schedule, and hours may vary according to workload and customer needs. Work includes daily local travel and outdoor duties in all types of weather.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and good driving record.
• At least 2 years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining gasoline dispensing units, including dispenser hydraulics and submerged pump units.
• Valid dispenser certification(s).
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Ability to travel locally each day.
• Ability to lift 50–75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair gasoline dispensing units, including Gilbarco, Dresser Wayne, Gasboy, and Bennett equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic point-of-sale systems, including VeriFone, Gilbarco, and NCR systems.
• Install, program, and test new petroleum equipment.
• Analyze electrical and mechanical problems and make repairs as needed.
• Perform scheduled repairs and preventative maintenance on fueling systems.
• Communicate with customers and explain technical issues in a non-technical manner.
• Work alongside branch managers, dispatchers, technicians, and trainees, and assist trainees with training and certifications when paired with them.
