About The Position

SPATCO Energy Solutions is hiring an experienced Service Tech to support petroleum fueling equipment customers in the San Antonio, Texas area. The technician troubleshoots, repairs, installs, programs, and tests fueling equipment and electronic point-of-sale systems, and performs scheduled repairs and preventive maintenance. The role includes explaining technical issues to customers in non-technical terms and collaborating with branch managers, dispatchers, technicians, and trainees. Updated training and certifications are provided. The position does not follow a typical 8-to-5 schedule; hours may vary according to workload and customer needs. Work includes outdoor conditions in all types of weather, daily local travel, and lifting 50–75 pounds.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and good driving record.
At least 2 years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining gasoline dispensing units, including dispenser hydraulics and submerged pump units.
Valid dispenser certification(s).
Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
Ability to travel locally each day.
Ability to lift 50–75 pounds.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair gasoline dispensing units, including equipment from Gilbarco, Dresser Wayne, Gasboy, and Bennett.
Troubleshoot and repair electronic point-of-sale systems, including VeriFone, Gilbarco, and NCR systems.
Install, program, and test new petroleum equipment.
Analyze electrical and mechanical problems and perform repairs as required.
Perform scheduled repairs and preventive maintenance on fueling systems.
Communicate with customers and explain technical issues in non-technical terms.
Work alongside branch managers, dispatchers, technicians, and trainees; assist trainees with training and certifications when paired with them.
