About The Position

SPATCO is seeking an experienced service technician committed to customer service excellence and career growth in the petroleum industry. Technicians receive updated training and certifications and work alongside branch managers, dispatchers, other experienced technicians, and trainees. The role may include assisting trainees with their training and certifications. Hours vary according to workload and customer needs and are not a typical 8–5 schedule.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and good driving record.
• At least 2 years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining gasoline dispensing units, including dispenser hydraulics and submerged pump units.
• Valid dispenser certification(s).
• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Ability to travel locally each day.
• Ability to lift 50–75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair gasoline dispensing units, including Gilbarco, Dresser Wayne, Gasboy, and Bennett equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic point-of-sale systems, including VeriFone, Gilbarco, and NCR systems.
• Install, program, and test new petroleum equipment.
• Analyze electrical and mechanical problems and make repairs as required.
• Perform scheduled repairs and preventative maintenance on fueling systems.
• Communicate with customers and explain technical issues in non-technical terms.
• Work alongside and, at times, assist trainees in completing their training and certifications.
