Service Tech - Experienced

About The Position

SPATCO is seeking an experienced service technician committed to customer service excellence and advancing in the petroleum industry. Technicians receive updated training and certifications to support career advancement. They work alongside branch managers, dispatchers, other experienced technicians, and trainees, and may assist trainees in completing their training and certifications. The position does not follow a typical 8 a.m.–5 p.m. schedule; hours may vary based on workload and customer needs. The role involves daily local travel and working outdoors in all types of weather.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and a good driving record.
At least 2 years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining gasoline dispensing units, including dispenser hydraulics and submerged pump units.
Valid dispenser certification(s).
Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
Ability to travel locally each day.
Ability to lift 50–75 pounds.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair gasoline dispensing units, including Gilbarco, Dresser Wayne, Gasboy, and Bennett equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electronic point-of-sale systems, including VeriFone, Gilbarco, and NCR equipment.
Install, program, and test new petroleum equipment.
Analyze electrical and mechanical problems and make repairs as required.
Perform scheduled repairs and preventive maintenance on fueling systems.
Communicate with customers and explain technical issues in non-technical terms.
Work alongside trainees when needed to assist with their training and certifications.
