About The Position

SPATCO Energy Solutions is seeking an experienced service technician to support customers in the petroleum industry. The role involves servicing, repairing, maintaining, installing, and programming fueling equipment and related systems. Technicians work alongside branch managers, dispatchers, other experienced technicians, and trainees; they may occasionally assist trainees with their training and certifications. The schedule is not a typical 8–5 shift, and hours may vary based on workload and customer needs. The position involves daily local travel and working outdoors in all types of weather.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and good driving record.
At least 2 years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining gasoline dispensing units, including dispenser hydraulics and submerged pump units.
Valid dispenser certification(s).
Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
Ability to travel locally each day.
Ability to lift 50–75 pounds.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair gasoline dispensing units, including Gilbarco, Dresser Wayne, Gasboy, and Bennett equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electronic point-of-sale systems, including VeriFone, Gilbarco, and NCR equipment.
Install, program, and test new petroleum equipment.
Analyze electrical and mechanical problems and make repairs as required.
Perform scheduled repairs and preventative maintenance on fueling systems.
Communicate with customers and explain technical issues in a non-technical manner.
Work alongside branch managers, dispatchers, other technicians, and trainees; occasionally assist trainees with training and certifications.
